Easter Events for Kids with Autism

It’s Easter time! And kids look forward to celebrating this year as many missed the celebration when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Like other children, kids with autism should enjoy this yearly event, too.

So if you want to hold a party for kids under pediatric therapy in Riverside, California, we suggest a fun and enjoyable egg hunt for them. But first, find a space to hold your event. Make sure there are no playgrounds and places with loud noises so the children can focus and avoid distraction.

Easter celebrations can be a little different for kids under the spectrum. But if you prefer a traditional event where kids roam around to find eggs, hold a safe yet still interactive event for them. Minimize the participants and choose games that can also be part of their Play Therapy.

Instead of putting candies and treats, you can fill the eggs with sensory toys like clay, putty, fidget toys, whistles, and things a Toddler with ASD can appreciate.

As behavioral health professionals in California, we believe that every child deserves to enjoy what other kids do. Let us treat them with kindness and fairness and help bring out the best in them. At Ascend Beyond Pediatric and Family Therapy, you can guarantee equality and compassionate care.
